SAP TM Consultant - REMOTE
We are seeking a skilled Sr. SAP TM (Transportation Management) Specialist with a strong background in stock room management and transportation processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP WM (Warehouse Management, the predecessor to SAP TM) and expertise in managing transportation, shipments, and stockroom operations using SAP TM. In addition, the candidate should have strong experience with integrations between SAP TM and other SAP modules, such as SAP WM, SAP MM, and SAP SD, to ensure end-to-end supply chain optimization.
This position is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of logistics, transportation, and warehouse management, with the ability to integrate systems and enhance cross-functional workflows in SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize transportation processes, ensuring efficient shipment movements within the SAP TM system.
Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to streamline transportation operations and improve efficiency.
Implement and monitor transportation plans, schedules, and execution in SAP TM.
Oversee stockroom operations within SAP TM, ensuring smooth integration with warehouse functions.
Monitor and manage inbound and outbound shipments and ensure stock accuracy and timely deliveries.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to stock movements and shipments.
Configure SAP TM modules to meet business requirements related to transportation and warehouse processes.
Provide ongoing support for SAP TM and SAP WM functionality, troubleshooting issues and supporting end users.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, logistics, warehouse) to ensure seamless integration between SAP TM and other SAP modules such as SAP WM, SAP MM, SAP SD, and SAP EWM.
Manage integrations between SAP TM and other SAP modules (e.g., SAP WM, SAP MM, SAP SD), ensuring smooth data flow and accurate transaction processing.
Oversee integration with external systems (e.g., third-party logistics, transportation carriers, or ERP systems) to facilitate seamless communication and data exchange.
Work with SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) or other middleware tools to ensure proper integration setups, data mapping, and issue resolution.
Analyze existing transportation and warehouse processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
Implement best practices for SAP TM/WM integration to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of business operations.
Stay updated on SAP developments and new features in TM, WM, and S/4HANA to enhance system capabilities and optimize workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong expertise in SAP TM (Transportation Management), with a focus on shipment management, transportation planning, execution, and integration.
Experience in SAP WM (Warehouse Management) or its previous versions, with an understanding of how transportation integrates with stockroom operations.
Integration expertise in SAP TM, SAP WM, SAP MM, SAP SD, and SAP EWM to ensure seamless cross-module communication and data exchange.
Familiarity with SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) or other integration tools used for connecting SAP systems with external systems (e.g., third-party logistics, transportation providers).
In-depth knowledge of logistics, transportation processes, and supply chain management, including experience with transportation carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) systems.
Strong experience in system configuration and troubleshooting of SAP TM and SAP WM functionalities.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and cost efficiency.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with IT, logistics, and operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in SAP TM or SAP WM.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and its logistics modules, particularly in the context of transportation and warehouse management.
Familiarity with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) is a plus.
Previous experience working in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or logistics with a focus on supply chain, transportation, and warehouse management.
