We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong hands-on expertise in SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and RF (Radio Frequency) solutions.
The ideal candidate will have solid ABAP development experience in an SAP S/4HANA environment, along with a strong understanding of SAP EWM processes, RF frameworks, and warehouse execution solutions.
The candidate should also have practical experience with Clean Core principles and be able to develop scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-safe solutions while following SAP development best practices.
This role will be primarily remote but requires approximately 50% travel to Indianapolis, Indiana.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions supporting SAP EWM and RF functionality.
Work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and other SAP objects.
Design and develop solutions within SAP S/4HANA EWM.
Support and enhance RF-based warehouse processes and applications.
Develop and troubleshoot RF transactions and RF framework components.
Work with warehouse processes including inbound, outbound, picking, packing, putaway, replenishment, and inventory management.
Analyze and resolve production issues related to EWM, RF, and ABAP developments.
Perform debugging and root-cause analysis of complex SAP issues.
Develop scalable solutions aligned with SAP Clean Core principles.
Minimize unnecessary customizations and ensure developments are upgrade-safe and maintainable.
Work with standard SAP APIs, enhancement frameworks, and extensibility options where applicable.
Integrate SAP EWM with other SAP and external systems.
Participate in unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
Prepare technical specifications and development documentation.
Review existing custom developments and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, business users, integration teams, and other technical teams.
Support SAP releases, upgrades, enhancements, and post-go-live activities.
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
Strong experience with SAP EWM.
Hands-on experience with SAP RF / Radio Frequency solutions.
Experience developing in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
Strong ABAP programming and debugging skills.
Experience with ABAP Objects and modern ABAP development.
Strong understanding of SAP EWM technical architecture and warehouse processes.
Experience developing and troubleshooting RF-related functionality.
Understanding of SAP Clean Core principles.
Experience developing scalable and upgrade-safe SAP solutions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with functional and technical teams.
Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Willingness to travel approximately 50% to Indianapolis, IN.
