Summary

Job Title: Senior Category Manager Professional Services

Location: Remote (Must be able to travel up to 25% within California)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager Professional Services to lead strategic sourcing and category management initiatives for a prestigious higher education client. This role is responsible for developing long-term category strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving sourcing initiatives, and partnering with executive stakeholders across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Public Procurement, or related field
Strong background in Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Experience with contract negotiations and strategic sourcing
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Expertise in spend analysis, market intelligence, risk management, and supplier performance
Advanced communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

Experience sourcing Professional Services, Risk Services, or Health Insurance Services
Higher Education or Public Sector procurement experience
CPSM or other Supply Chain certification
