Senior Full-Stack Developer – Cloud Migration & AI-Assisted Engineering
As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will be a highly hands-on engineering contributor responsible for modernizing and migrating business-critical applications from distributed on-premises infrastructure to cloud-native platforms in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). You will work across the full technology stack — application code, APIs, user interfaces, databases, infrastructure, CI/CD, security, observability, and production support.
This role is ideal for a full-stack developer who can independently drive meaningful portions of the migration lifecycle from assessment and design through build, test, deployment, and stabilization. You should be comfortable modernizing legacy applications while using the migration as an opportunity to improve scalability, resiliency, maintainability, automation, and developer productivity.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, refactor, test, deploy, and support application capabilities as part of an on-premises data center to AWS/Google Cloud Platform cloud migration.
Build and modernize full-stack components including front-end interfaces, APIs, service layers, integration points, databases, batch processes, and deployment automation.
Work with cloud-native patterns including containerization, API modernization, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, resiliency, and secure-by-design development.
Partner with architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, QA, business analysts, project managers, and operations teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Use AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Copilot, or similar capabilities for first-draft code development, refactoring, test generation, documentation, performance tuning, and optimization — not only for debugging.
Leverage GitLab native integrations for source control, merge requests, CI/CD pipelines, code scanning, security checks, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
Use Jira extensively for backlog management, sprint execution, defect tracking, traceability, and delivery reporting.
Support database design, query optimization, schema changes, data migration, validation, and operational readiness activities.
Contribute to infrastructure and DevSecOps practices including Infrastructure as Code, environment configuration, deployment pipelines, monitoring, logging, and incident response.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Strong full-stack development experience, including front-end, back-end, APIs, databases, integrations, testing, and production support.
Deep experience with Jira for Agile delivery, backlog execution, sprint management, defects, and traceability.
Deep experience with GitLab, including branching strategies, merge requests, CI/CD pipelines, code review, and DevSecOps automation.
Practical experience using Codex, Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools for first-draft development, refactoring, test creation, documentation, and optimization.
Strong understanding of cloud-native development, application security, API design, observability, performance tuning, and operational reliability.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across architecture, infrastructure, security, QA, and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with .NET/C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, or similar enterprise development stacks.
Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, automated testing, and cloud landing zones.
Experience with IAM, networking concepts, security guardrails, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and compliance controls.
Experience modernizing legacy thick-client, batch, database-heavy, or integration-intensive applications.
