Senior Project Manager - Supply Chain

HIRE Technology is searching for a Sr Project Manager - Supply Chain who will manage all aspects of Client's projects and programs, from start to finish, so they are completed on time under budget and within scope. This would include owning the program management for all workstreams in a new operational facility setup, helping to define workstreams, identify timelines, sequencing work, capturing dependencies, managing issue resolution and trading off priorities as needed to execute the program successfully.  This role would also include leading smaller operational projects as needed. 

9 month contract - with potential for extension

Remote: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm CST.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for leading, organizing, and managing project teams that deliver exceptional business value  

• Define project scope, budget, and timeline while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value 

• Design and manage project plans to deliver the project successfully on time, underbudget and within scope. 

• Organize and lead project status and working meetings that encourage a sustainable pace and high quality of work 

• Manage Stakeholder communication by preparing and distributing key communications as needed. 

• Proactively manages project risks and issues, staying ahead of potential challenges to minimize disruption and maintain project momentum

• Promote high collaboration and empowerment of the team while ensuring each team member is accountable for their commitments 

• Provides leadership and informal project management training to empower workstream leads to drive their day-to-day workstream teams. 

• Create project timelines, stakeholder analysis, process flow diagrams and other functional project artifacts as needed. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• 10+ years of experience managing complex, multi-function enterprise level projects  

• 6+ years leading highly effect project teams remotely 

• Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles with the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit the project needs 

• Strong business operation process improvement background as a senior business analyst or SSBB 

• A proven track record of successfully implementing IT and/or Supply Chain projects 

• A unique blend of IT and business (i.e. supply chain) experience  

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle  

• Prior experience supporting business operations and a PMO (preferred) 

• Prior experience successfully working with customer and 3rd party vendors (preferred) 
  
  

PREFERRED: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, business or equivalent; MBA or Advance degree (preferred) 

• PMP certification  

• ITIL certifications  

• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using project management tools such as: Smartsheet. Visio, Microsoft Project, and all Office tools 

• Training focused on understanding people, their motivations, and negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes

• Strong analytical, planning, and organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities on a weekly basis
