POSITION OVERVIEW
Lead the end-to-end architecture and technical direction for Azure-based digital banking MVP. Translate business outcomes into a secure, scalable, integration-ready platform and guide cross-functional engineering teams through design, delivery, and production readiness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own conceptual, logical, and physical solution architecture and key architecture decisions.
- Define cloud-native, API-first, event-driven, Microfrontend, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF), domain-driven, security, resiliency, and observability architecture patterns.
- Guide integration architecture across Fiserv DNA, MuleSoft, Oracle GoldenGate, secure messaging, and branch/ATM services.
- Lead design reviews and resolve cross-team technical dependencies and risks.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, Azure Well-Architected practices, and financial-services security expectations.
- Partner with product, business, engineering, QA, DevSecOps, and security stakeholders through delivery and hypercare.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in solution or enterprise architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
- Design and govern Backend-for-Frontend services supporting channel-specific mobile and web requirements.
- Experience delivering enterprise solutions in Agile, cross-functional, and distributed-team environments.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-approved generative AI or coding assistants across the SDLC, with human review, secure prompt/data handling, traceability, and validation of AI-generated outputs. Ability to define team guardrails, adoption practices, and measurable productivity improvements.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Microsoft Azure: APIM, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage, Monitor, Application Insights
- Cloud-native, microservices, API-first, event-driven, and domain-driven architecture, Microfrontend architecture.
- Microsoft Entra ID B2C, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, Zero Trust, secrets and encryption patterns
- ARM/Bicep, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, AKS, architecture governance, ADRs, and production-readiness reviews
- Digital banking, credit union, or regulated financial-services experience
- Fiserv DNA, MuleSoft, Oracle GoldenGate, Thales Akeyless, or CipherTrust
- Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, or responsible AI architecture
