Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Inventory Management Consultant with deep expertise in SAP IM and S/4HANA inventory processes. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring inventory transactions, valuations, and integrations function effectively across the enterprise while supporting a major SAP transformation initiative.
In this role, you will configure, troubleshoot, and optimize inventory management solutions while partnering closely with Finance, Inventory, and Operations teams. You will serve as a subject matter expert for end to end inventory processes, helping resolve complex production issues, improve system performance, and support ongoing SAP S/4HANA enhancements and deployments.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure and enhance SAP Inventory Management and Materials Management functionality within S/4HANA environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve inventory related production issues, stock discrepancies, and transaction failures
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementation and rollout activities across inventory management processes
• Analyze and resolve interface failures impacting inventory accuracy and transactional integrity
• Partner with Finance, Inventory, Operations, and other business teams to deliver integrated SAP solutions
• Configure inventory movement types, stock postings, valuation processes, and account determination settings
• Evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP inventory solutions
• Create and maintain functional documentation, testing artifacts, and process improvement recommendations
Key Requirements
• 7+ years of hands on SAP Inventory Management experience with strong expertise in end to end inventory processes
• Proven experience configuring SAP IM and MM modules within SAP S/4HANA environments
• Strong knowledge of goods movements, transfer postings, inventory valuation, physical inventory processes, stock types, and account determination
• Experience troubleshooting complex inventory transaction issues and resolving production support incidents
• Knowledge of SAP AIF interfaces and integration points with Finance, Sales and Distribution, Warehouse Management, or Extended Warehouse Management
• Experience working with SAP customization and configuration through SPRO
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, and ABAP debugging is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly to changing business needs
• Team oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
