Role: Staff Database Migration & Platform Engineer

Summary:
We are looking for a Staff Database Migration & Platform Engineer to lead large-scale database migration initiatives and build the underlying migration platform, automation frameworks, and cloud infrastructure. The role requires deep expertise in AWS migration services, CDC pipelines, database modernization, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
Own and enhance EventBridge-based migration test harnesses and validation frameworks.
Design, develop, and maintain migration infrastructure, including AWS DMS, CDC pipelines, data seeding, and data windowing.
Develop and validate database migration solutions between Aurora PostgreSQL, DSQL, and related platforms.
Build and maintain AWS CDK deployments and infrastructure automation.
Provide production support, participate in on-call rotations, and deliver operational reporting.
Maintain architecture documentation, migration designs, and technical runbooks.
Support reverse replication, streaming solutions, performance testing, and migration tooling enhancements.
Required Skills
10+ years of software/database engineering experience.
Strong experience with AWS DMS, CDC, Aurora PostgreSQL, DSQL, and database migration strategies.
Hands-on expertise in Java and AWS CDK.
Experience with EventBridge and streaming data pipelines.
Strong production support and incident management experience.
Ability to work directly with customer engineering and architecture teams.
