Position: Tosca Automation Engineer
Location: Remote
Long Term Contract role (18+ months contract)
Job Description:
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced TOSCA Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in the Energy & Utilities domain. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Tricentis Tosca automation, test planning, API testing, and utility business processes such as Meter-to-Cash, Customer Information Systems (CIS), Billing, and Outage Management.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of QA/Test Automation experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca.
- Strong knowledge of Test Case Design, Automation Frameworks, and Test Execution.
- Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP).
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
Energy & Utilities Domain Experience
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following:
- Customer Information Systems (CIS)
- Meter-to-Cash (M2C)
- Smart Metering (AMI)
- Billing & Invoicing
- Outage Management System (OMS)
- Work & Asset Management
- Energy Trading
- Distribution Management System (DMS)
- Utility Customer Service
- Electric, Gas, or Water Utilities
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
- Design reusable automation components and test modules.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate APIs and backend data.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners.
- Analyze test results and report defects.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Ensure high test coverage and quality throughout the SDLC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tricentis Tosca Certification (Preferred).
- Experience with SAP IS-U, Oracle Utilities (CC&B), or similar utility platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
- Exposure to performance and service virtualization tools is an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Selenium or Playwright knowledge.
- API automation using Postman or ReadyAPI.
- Basic Java or C# scripting.
- Experience with ServiceNow integration.
- Knowledge of ETL/Data Validation testing.
