Job Role: Transmission Power Engineer
Job Type: Full Time - Remote

We are seeking a position for "Transmission Power Engineer".

Job Summary:

The Mid to Senior Transmission Power Engineer will take ownership of high-voltage overhead and underground transmission line projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV. This role serves as a primary technical decision-maker, leading projects through the full engineering lifecycle from initial routing to final construction deliverables.

Responsibilities:

Take day-to-day responsibility for engineering judgments, structural analysis methods, and line routing selections with a high level of autonomy.
Perform complete engineering and modeling for high-voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD software suites.
Develop comprehensive engineering deliverables, including structure framing, conductor sag-tension reports, clearance calculations, and foundation designs.
Establish and refine standard design criteria, engineering templates, and quality control workflows to maximize team efficiency.
Partner with project managers and utility stakeholders to define project scopes and ensure technical alignment.
Ensure all designs comply with client specifications, environmental requirements, and national standards such as NESC, ASCE, and IEEE.
Provide technical mentorship, guidance, and QA/QC reviews for junior engineering and design staff.
Support construction activities by resolving field issues, reviewing material submittals, and responding to contractor RFIs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 12 months.
Minimum of 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in high-voltage transmission line design.
Strong proficiency in PLS-CADD, including structure modeling, criteria development, and foundation design software.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of technical projects, make independent engineering decisions, and defend design approaches.
Strong leadership potential with the desire to grow into a management role and support team development initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports, specifications, and coordinate with project stakeholders.
