Description
We are looking for a SharePoint Consultant to support a Contract engagement based in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will partner with business teams to strengthen document management practices, improve collaboration environments, and make SharePoint Online easier for employees to use effectively. The position focuses on organizing content, enhancing access and governance standards, and guiding users through sustainable Microsoft 365 collaboration processes.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve issues affecting SharePoint synchronization, file availability, and folder organization across collaboration sites.
Plan and execute the transfer of legacy documents and business files into SharePoint Online while maintaining structure and usability.
Review current repositories and develop improved information architecture, including logical folder layouts and document library organization.
Establish practical governance standards for SharePoint sites to support consistency, scalability, and long-term maintenance.
Assess access needs and administer permissions, security groups, and site-level controls aligned with business requirements.
Collaborate with department leaders to identify appropriate access for teams and individuals using SharePoint resources.
Create user guidance materials and deliver training sessions that promote effective document handling and collaboration habits.
Support adoption of updated SharePoint workflows, document management procedures, and related Microsoft 365 tools and devices.
Troubleshoot user challenges involving access, content management, and collaboration functionality to improve overall experience.
Requirements
5+ years of experience supporting or administering SharePoint Online within a Microsoft 365 environment.
Strong knowledge of document libraries, permissions models, security groups, and site administration in SharePoint.
Hands-on experience migrating files and enterprise content into SharePoint platforms.
Working familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
Demonstrated ability to organize large document repositories and improve content structure for business users.
Experience developing training materials and explaining technical processes to end users clearly.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work directly with stakeholders.
Exposure to governance practices, Power Platform tools, Intune, or SharePoint-related certifications is preferred.
