Senior Category Manager – Cloud, Software & Digital Services

Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing, category strategy, commercial negotiations, contracting, and value creation across enterprise technology spend, including Cloud, SaaS, enterprise software, software licensing, digital applications, AI, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute technology category and sourcing strategies aligned with business and financial objectives.
Lead complex negotiations with major technology suppliers covering Enterprise License Agreements, SaaS, Cloud, software licensing, renewals, MSAs, SOWs, and technology services.
Negotiate pricing, volume tiers, consumption commitments, renewal caps, price protections, termination rights, audit provisions, data portability, and exit rights.
Manage a high volume of contracts, renewals, sourcing initiatives, and negotiations while maintaining strong execution and attention to detail.
Analyze supplier economics, pricing models, benchmarks, TCO, spend, demand forecasts, and competitive alternatives.
Drive value through competitive sourcing, license optimization, SaaS rationalization, cloud optimization, supplier consolidation, demand management, and savings initiatives.
Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Vendor Management teams.
Develop negotiation strategies, commercial playbooks, and contracting approaches while driving agreements to closure.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology, or related field.
8+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management with significant technology-category experience.
Strong experience negotiating enterprise software, SaaS, Cloud, licensing, and technology services agreements.
Expertise in software licensing, SaaS/cloud commercial models, TCO analysis, benchmarking, and financial modeling.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex negotiations, contracts, and renewals simultaneously.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, executive communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
Experience negotiating with Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, AWS, ServiceNow, Google, or Adobe; experience with FinOps, software/license optimization, AI/emerging technologies, and healthcare, life sciences, medical device, or other regulated environments.
