Title: RF Systems Engineer – Satellite Technology
Location: Remote - Occasional travel to Long Island, NY (Expenses covered)
Duration: 3–6-month contract
Ideal Start: ASAP
Work Schedule: Remote for 6 weeks of 40 hours a week to start; 2 -3 weeks for PDR/CDR (20 hours a week); 3-4 months 40 hours a week (design, test, troubleshoot, build, and integrate - This is where the onsite will happen)

Position Overview
Oxford’s client just won a project to design a mobile satellite communications system. They need an RF Systems Engineer to help them select and assemble COTS parts. The 3.8m parabolic Ku band antenna has been selected. The consultant will need to select the generator and UPS system keeping size and space requirements as a primary consideration, as well as cables, as EMI/EMC are extremely important to avoid interference with other systems and avoid giving away their location.
The ideal candidate and focus will be someone who has worked in the trenches and can analyze the requirements, select the components, create block level designs, identify how they should be assembled, evaluate the RF performance, troubleshoot, and develop detailed RF test procedures, test plans, and validation documentation.
