Hiring: Project Estimator
Location: Juno Beach, FL
Duration: 11-12 Months (onsite)
Position Summary:A leading organization is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to support capital expenditure evaluations. In this role, you will develop comprehensive cost models for projects, provide technical guidance on estimating processes, and incorporate staffing and market pricing considerations. Your expertise will help ensure accurate, cost-effective project budgeting and resource utilization. Staying informed about industry trends and advances, you will also contribute to the development and application of metrics for cost validation and project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, quantify, and analyze complete capital expenditure (CapEx) models to evaluate project feasibility and costs.
- Prepare detailed capital cost estimates based on project designs and specifications.
- Review project layouts and technical specifications to identify opportunities for cost optimization and recommend alternative solutions when appropriate.
- Conduct market research to gather current pricing data and ensure estimates reflect prevailing market conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to clarify project objectives and facilitate efficient resource allocation.
- Establish and implement metrics for cost verification and construction estimate checks.
- Remain current with technological advancements and industry trends to improve estimating accuracy.
- Provide technical guidance and support for cost evaluations, including staffing considerations and process optimization.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned to support project success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in developing and supporting capital cost estimates.
- Proven ability to conduct independent cost evaluations and support project budgeting activities.
- Strong knowledge of market pricing, design review, and cost-effective project practices.
- Experience supporting staffing considerations within cost estimates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration (MBA), Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Six Sigma Certification (Yellow Belt or higher) to facilitate process optimization.
- Familiarity with CapEx modeling, construction estimate validation, and cost-efficiency metrics.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
