Job DescriptionThe supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.
This position functions as a Senior Application Developer, within DTMB's Agency Services supporting DHHS for the Eligibility division. The employee will perform a complete range of information system analyst assignments including, but not limited to, leading development initiatives for the Departmental Solutions area in the support of Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This position is primarily responsible for providing Senior Application Development support across several applications and platforms including, but not limited to: Salesforce, IBM Middleware, Amazon Web Services, Google Web Services, and React Solutions on OpenShift.
DTMB does not participate in STEM-OPT. ITPA 12 -- Position DescriptionPosition Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.
SIGNING BONUS:This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

ExperienceInformation Technology Programmer/Analyst 12Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.
Alternate Education and ExperienceInformation Technology Programmer/Analyst 12Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.

Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between

12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
