COMPENSATION: $67 - $77 HOURLY
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer to support time-bound engineering initiatives. The individual in this role will contribute to defined project deliverables, collaborating with cross-functional partners to build, improve, and maintain software systems. This is a temporary role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well-scoped software enhancements and features aligned to project goals and timelines.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support execution of defined deliverables.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions.
- Contribute to operational excellence, including monitoring, incident response support, and performance improvements as needed.
- Manage and maintain machine learning classification models, monitor data quality, and analyze dataset integrity.
- Investigate performance regressions and identify system gaps to prevent invalid configurations.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including building or supporting machine learning systems in production environments and developing evaluated machine learning models, particularly classification models.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go, or similar), and experience with common development practices and tools (e.g., version control, code review, CI/CD).
