Location: Remote, California
COMPENSATION: $83 - $93 HOURLY
Role Overview
The main function of a full stack developer is to code for both front and back-end programming. A developer in this role will design user interactions and develop servers and databases. This role will primarily focus on developing Unreal Engine applications but may involve some backend work as well.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, document, implement, and maintain VR application programs and interfaces.
- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
- Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications.
- Monitor systems capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide technical support.
- Identify, escalate and document production impact issues.
- Evaluate user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost, and time required.
- Rapidly prototype spatialized content.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of professional development experience are required.
Technical Skills:- Expertise with Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with VR devices and development.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
- Experience using tools to measure application performance and diagnose issues.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building for and/or using VR headsets.
- Knowledge about video playback fundamentals (video encoding/decoding, etc).
- Experience creating and managing Unreal plugins.
