Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Consultant to support enterprise finance initiatives within a construction and contractor environment in Troy, Michigan. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can guide Oracle Cloud Finance solution design, improve system performance, and partner closely with business stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes. The role will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from requirements assessment through deployment and ongoing support, while helping maintain operational stability during broader transformation efforts.
Responsibilities:
Lead functional design and configuration activities for Oracle Cloud Finance solutions aligned with business and operational goals.
Facilitate discovery sessions, process reviews, and stakeholder workshops to define requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions.
Oversee implementation delivery from planning and solution validation through go-live and post-production support.
Advise business leaders on finance process improvement, application capabilities, and best practices within Oracle Financials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system stabilization efforts and ensure continuity for plant operations during transitional phases.
Partner with integration and business application teams to align finance solutions with related customer-facing and enterprise systems.
Coordinate testing activities, including user acceptance validation, issue resolution, and reconciliation support where needed.
Produce clear functional documentation, decision logs, and configuration records to support governance and long-term maintainability.
Requirements
5+ years of functional consulting experience focused on Oracle Finance solutions.
Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Oracle Fusion and Oracle Financials configuration, processes, and solution design.
Track record of delivering at least two Oracle Finance implementations, ideally across the full project lifecycle.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead workshops and guide business decisions.
Experience with testing support, including UAT coordination, defect triage, and validation of finance-related outcomes.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches in enterprise application projects.
Working knowledge of Oracle SQL; experience with security roles, segregation of duties, or compliance controls is a plus.
Oracle Cloud Finance-related certifications are preferred.
