Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Remote position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in Weston, FL. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. This role involves developing foundational software components for robotics and enabling technology applications. The ideal candidate will work with C++ and Qt in a Linux environment, focusing on biomechanics and planning components for clinical application architectures. This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be available to work EST hours to collaborate with teams in Europe.
Responsibilities: - Develop source code for shared biomechanics and planning components that integrate into the established architectures of pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative clinical applications
- Participate in SDLC activities for the components, including code review, documentation, integration, testing, defect management, and code analysis
- Design, develop, test, debug and implement operating systems components, software tools and utilities
- Determine systems software design requirements
- Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency
- Generate systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures
Requirements: - Solid background working with C++ and Qt in a Linux environment
- Experience working with 3D geometry and image processing algorithms involving complex 3D calculations
- Proficiency with integrated development environments (IDEs) and build systems, with minimal supervision
- Experience working with revision control systems and following CI/CD development practices
- Familiarity with unit testing as part of the development workflow
- University degree or equivalent practical experience
- A minimum of 2 or more years of experience
Desired skills: - Experience with developing surgical planning systems
Pay range: $64.14 - $74.14 per hour
