Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a FS Mid-Level Developer - Front End for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in the DMV area.

This is a full-stack position with a strong front-end emphasis: the ideal candidate will design and build modern, responsive user interfaces using React or Vue.js that put intelligent document processing in the hands of end users, while also developing the scalable backend services that power intelligent document ingestion, extraction, and transformation workflows. A significant portion of the work centers on crafting intuitive front-end experiences - interactive dashboards, document upload and review interfaces, and real-time status views - backed by well-designed RESTful APIs.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, test, debug, and document software components as part of a collaborative software engineering effort.
- This role centers on front-end development using React or Vue.js to deliver polished, accessible, and responsive user interfaces, complemented by backend development using Java and Python to deliver reliable, scalable services.
- The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time building and refining the front-end layer - component libraries, state management, and API integration - while contributing to services that integrate traditional software engineering with modern AI/ML capabilities.
- Contribute to building systems where autonomous agents coordinate multi-step document processing pipelines - from raw document intake through structured data extraction and downstream delivery.
- Review and analyze process, system, and/or data requirements and specifications.
- Design and implement backend components for one or more areas (subsystems) of a project, product, or program.
- Build, test, deploy, and document software components for project and program-level solutions.
- Participate in the creation of software engineering strategies that help identify and mitigate risks.
- Participate in peer review of code, requirements, specifications, and software.
- Document and communicate development status in a timely manner including metric reporting.
- Collaborate in the resolution of defects.
- Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives and provide feedback on processes.
