Information Technology - Project Manager (IT)

Varmoda is hiring an experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure technology initiatives from planning through successful delivery. This role will provide end-to-end project leadership across high-impact initiatives involving significant scope, scale, risk, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will bring strong project governance, stakeholder management, risk management, and execution capabilities while working effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to successfully deliver project objectives and expected benefits while maintaining control over scope, schedule, resources, and cost.

• Establish structured project governance, including clear roles and responsibilities, project phases, deliverables, and key milestones.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, provide execution leadership, and track progress against project goals and commitments.

• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, including contingency planning and project health restoration plans when necessary.

• Ensure adherence to established project management standards, IT controls, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements.

• Provide timely and effective communication regarding overall project health, including scope, schedule, resources, budget, risks, issues, and potential impacts.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide leadership and motivation to project teams.

• Partner with stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and manage project resources effectively.

• Facilitate discussions, working sessions, and collaboration across multiple technical and business teams.

• Establish and execute project communication plans to maintain stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

• Escalate decisions, roadblocks, constraints, and other critical issues to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant project management experience, including experience leading complex infrastructure technology projects and project teams.

• Demonstrated experience managing initiatives of significant scope, scale, and risk.

• Strong program and project management expertise with working knowledge and practical application of Waterfall, Hybrid, and/or Agile methodologies.

• Experience applying corporate project management standards, including PMI-aligned practices, IT controls, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead multiple concurrent projects.

• General familiarity with infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking, databases, and middleware.

• Familiarity with PPM and project delivery tools such as Clarity, ServiceNow, Jira, and Azure DevOps.

• Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with the ability to process information from multiple sources and simplify complex topics.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence, and drive results across all levels of an organization.

• Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

• Results-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative approach to project execution.

• Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a large financial services organization or another highly regulated industry.

• Experience leading application development initiatives.

• Previous network infrastructure project experience.

Certifications & Clearance

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification required.
