Front-End Developer to support the continued development of its site-monitoring and video management applications. This individual will focus on building and enhancing interactive, browser-based dashboards that allow customers to monitor equipment, access live camera feeds, and view data collected from connected systems.
This is a hands-on development position requiring someone who can independently build features, troubleshoot integrations, and translate business requirements into functional, user-friendly applications.
Required Technical Skills
JavaScript / Front-End Development
• Strong professional experience developing and deploying JavaScript-based web applications.
• Experience building interactive, data-driven dashboards or substantial customer-facing application features.
• Solid understanding of browser APIs, asynchronous data handling, and front-end troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently implement features from functional requirements and interface direction.
Video Services / Integration
• Experience working with video services, live video feeds, camera platforms, or browser-based video applications.
• Understanding of how existing video streams or services can be integrated into a web interface.
• Ability to troubleshoot video-related front-end functionality and integrations.
• Experience with video playback or streaming technologies is valuable; developing a streaming infrastructure from scratch is not required.
APIs / JSON / SQL
• Strong experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience working with JSON data structures and API responses.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including how data is retrieved and displayed in front-end applications.
• Ability to integrate third-party software services and connect applications to back-end systems.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
• Node.js and integration with Node.js back-end services.
• HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) and Media Source Extensions (MSE).
• WebSockets and real-time application functionality.
• PostgreSQL.
• Experience with computer vision, AI-generated events, or video analytics interfaces.
• Experience developing dashboards for IoT devices, connected hardware, or remote monitoring systems.
• Additional back-end development experience.
• Familiarity with edge devices or hardware-connected applications.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient front-end developer who has built and deployed real-world web applications involving API integrations, database-backed information, and interactive dashboards.
Experience integrating live video or camera feeds into a browser-based application would be particularly valuable.
This role is best suited for someone comfortable owning front-end development and troubleshooting integrations, rather than a developer focused primarily on static websites or visual design.
