Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to provide comprehensive support for a variety of database platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting database infrastructure globally. This role involves production support, monitoring, provisioning, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. The candidate will also manage small project initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality database solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Database Administration Support for platforms including Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, Sybase IQ, UDB DB2, Sybase Replication, Postgres, Hadoop, MSSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.
• Provide production support for global database infrastructure.
• Evaluate and optimize server infrastructure operations.
• Schedule maintenance jobs using Autosys.
• Perform root cause analysis on system failures and incidents, providing remediation solutions.
• Communicate and coordinate with application support and IT teams for critical requests.
• Monitor database infrastructure and alerts daily.
• Handle provisioning activities and user requests.
• Participate in Business Continuity Plan tests across all regions related to database infrastructure.
• Adhere to company change management requirements and procedures.
• Create policies and procedures for regular operational activities.
• Manage small project initiatives, including data center migrations and end-of-life database software and hardware upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Database Administration or a related role.
• Experience supporting platforms such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5/6/7/8.
• Strong expertise in database administration, maintenance, implementation, migration, and upgrades in complex system environments.
• Extensive experience with Sybase ASE, IQ, and Replication (v16.x, v15.x, v12.x) under Linux platforms.
• Strong knowledge of UDB/DB2, including HADR, database design, development, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in DBA tasks, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of banking domains and processes.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with global teams.
• Knowledge of job schedulers such as bash, Autosys, and cron jobs.

Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr
