Role Responsibilities

The engineer will build, operate and scale Python APIs and backend services that integrate AI capabilities to support internal and external applications.

Key responsibilities include:

Design, implement and document FastAPI services and SDKs for AI features
Integrate third-party AI providers such as:
Google Gemini / Vertex AI
AWS Bedrock
OpenAI
Build secure and observable AI integrations
Develop event-driven and synchronous backends
Work with REST APIs, webhooks and queues
Implement robust error handling
Optimize latency, throughput and cost
Implement caching, rate limiting, retries and circuit breakers
Write high-quality, production-ready code
Develop and maintain automated tests
Support CI/CD pipelines
Implement structured logging, metrics and tracing
Own production readiness and runbooks
Collaborate with Product, Data and ML teams
Translate business requirements into APIs and workflows
Follow security, privacy and compliance requirements
Handle secrets, OAuth/OIDC and PII appropriately
Preferred Qualifications
