Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Process Consultant with strong, recent, hands-on experience in ISO 9001, ISO 22301, and CMMI V3.0 within enterprise IT environments.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience across the complete process lifecycle, including process assessment, definition, implementation, auditing, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on consulting role requiring direct collaboration with IT teams, process owners, leadership, and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct current-state assessments, gap assessments, and process maturity assessments against ISO 9001, ISO 22301, and CMMI requirements.
- Define and improve IT processes, policies, procedures, SOPs, workflows, templates, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Map processes and objective evidence to applicable ISO clauses and CMMI practice areas.
- Lead hands-on implementation of newly defined or improved processes across enterprise IT teams.
- Facilitate process workshops, walkthroughs, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, process metrics, governance, and continuous-improvement mechanisms.
- Conduct internal audits, compliance reviews, and audit-readiness assessments.
- Prepare teams and documentation for ISO certification audits and CMMI appraisal/readiness activities.
- Collect, review, and validate audit evidence and identify process deficiencies or non-conformities.
- Perform root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and remediation tracking through closure.
- Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure processes are effectively adopted and sustained.
- Provide recommendations to leadership on process maturity, compliance, quality, and operational improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Strong, recent hands-on experience with:
- ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System
- CMMI V3.0
- Experience applying these standards/frameworks within enterprise IT environments.
- Proven experience across assessment process definition implementation audit continuous improvement.
- Experience conducting gap assessments, maturity assessments, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
- Strong background in developing SOPs, policies, process maps, controls, metrics, templates, and audit evidence.
- Experience working directly with IT teams, process owners, senior leadership, and external auditors/appraisers.
- Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Certifications
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer
- ISO 22301 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer
- CMMI V3.0 training, appraisal, or implementation credentials
- Additional IT governance, quality, risk, or process-management certifications are a plus.

Critical Requirements
- Candidates must have recent, hands-on experience with the current/latest applicable versions of ISO 9001, ISO 22301, and CMMI V3.0.
- Candidates should demonstrate actual implementation and audit experience, not only theoretical, advisory, or certification knowledge.
- Must be capable of independently performing assessment, process design, implementation, and audit-readiness activities.
- 100% onsite presence in San Francisco, CA is required.
- Candidates must be willing and able to work onsite from the start of the engagement.
