Role -System Test Engineer Manager
Location - Mountain View , CA
As a manager in the Datacenter Test Solutions Group, you will work closely with hardware, software, diagnostics, manufacturing, operations, and product teams to drive test readiness from early product development through high-volume production. Your leadership will help define processes and solutions that improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and long-term execution across different system programs.
- Refine manufacturing test solutions for System products translating them to methodologies and processes applicable to datacenter products
- Investigate and enhance new manufacturing test technology and methodology to enhance production efficiency.
- Improve or develop new test strategies for products and test infrastructure including identification, specification, design and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Build automated diag generation and validation infrastructure.
- Lead and advise a team of engineers to handle NPI and Sustenance product line
- Guide teams in resolving technical problems.
What we need to see:
- 6+ years of experience with post silicon validation experience in Board or System products.
- 2+ years of management experience or leading technical teams and projects
- BS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with manufacturing, chip to system.
- Python programming and bash scripting experience.
- Excellent communication and people skills
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Experience with Datacenter servers, AI systems, GPU-based platforms, networking, storage, or rack-scale systems.
- Background in automated diagnostics, test content generation, or manufacturing data analytics.
- Experience bringing complex hardware products from development into high-volume production.
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems, firmware, BMC, networking, PCIe, NVLink, or thermal/power validation.
- Proven ability to build teams, define processes, and drive execution across multiple product programs.

Lead a large, cross-functional U.S.-based organization of 30-50 engineers and program staff, driving people leadership, strategic customer relationships, and execution of complex hardware programs. You'll be the bridge between engineering, executive stakeholders, and key customers ensuring organizational health, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
People Management (Primary Focus)
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 30-50 engineers and program managers across U.S. sites
- Own the full people lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, performance, career development, and succession planning
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture grounded in accountability and collaboration
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer interfaces
- Lead customer reviews, escalations, and QBRs at both technical and executive levels
- Translate customer requirements into program requirements
- Drive escalations to closure with transparent, proactive communication
- Represent the voice of the customer in internal roadmap and prioritization decisions
Hardware Program Execution
- Oversee long-term hardware programs: timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resourcing
- Anticipate and mitigate risks through structured prioritization
- Ensure executive visibility through clear governance and reporting cadence
What We Need to See
- B.Sc. in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years directly managing teams of 20+ (30-50 preferred)
- Proven success hiring, developing, and retaining top U.S. engineering talent
- Excellent English communication skills with inter-personal skills
Experience leading across U.S. sites and time zones; comfort with matrixed organizations
