A firm that works exclusively in pharmaceutical and biotech engineering is opening a mid-Atlantic office and hiring an MEP Office Leader to run it. This is a leadership role responsible for client relationships, business development, project delivery, and team growth across the DC, Baltimore, and Fredericksburg pharma and biotech market. A small team is already in place in Maryland.

Compensation
$180,000 to $250,000 per year.
What You\'ll Do
This leader builds and manages client relationships across the region\'s pharmaceutical and biotech community, leads proposals, and oversees MEP or process engineering work delivered out of the office. The role includes growing office headcount as project volume grows, and carries direct ownership of business development and project delivery outcomes rather than a supporting BD function alongside engineering work. Because the firm works exclusively in life sciences, all projects, client relationships, and hiring decisions are within the pharma and biotech sector.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in electrical, mechanical, or process engineering
- Substantial experience working on pharmaceutical facility projects
- Established relationships within the DC/Baltimore life sciences and pharma market
- Experience in a business development or client-facing leadership capacity
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a #2 or deputy leadership role within an MEP or engineering firm
- Experience opening or growing a regional office
- Familiarity with the Fredericksburg, VA market in addition to DC/Baltimore
Compensation and Benefits
