What You'll DoAs an Electrical Engineering Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project teams supporting electrical engineering design work. Throughout this 11-week internship program, you will:
- Assist with power distribution and lighting design
- Support electrical load calculations and panel schedules
- Participate in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary meetings
- Attend site visits and observe construction progress
- Review drawings and construction documentation
- Learn about low-voltage systems, lighting controls, and energy-efficient design
- Support project teams throughout various phases of design and construction
Software & Technical Skills You'll LearnInterns will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard electrical engineering software and tools, including:
- Revit
- AutoCAD
- Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft Excel
- BIM coordination tools
QualificationsWe're looking for driven students who are eager to grow their professional skills, contribute to real-life, meaningful projects, and be a part of a talented team. The following qualifications will help you succeed in this role:
- Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Interested in building systems and electrical infrastructure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator and collaborative team player
- Eager to learn in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment
Work LocationThis is an onsite position based out of the following Core States Group offices: Somerville, NJ or Bentonville, AR.
