Overview
Bowhead seeks a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join our team supporting the Program Office for Logistics Integrated Information Solutions - Marine Corps (LI2S-MC) in Stafford, VA. The Systems Engineer will work directly with the client in a hybrid work posture analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments to collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, logisticians, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment.
The Systems Engineer will: Design, develop, and manage cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services. Work closely with other IT professionals, such as developers, architects, and system administrators, to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions. Migrates applications, optimizes resources, and ensures data security and compliance.
Responsibilities
Design and manage cloud infrastructure.
Evaluate legacy applications and systems to determine viability to be migrated or transferred to cloud services.
Implement and manage cloud-based systems for business use and help debug cloud stacks. Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal solutions.
Develop Fit-for-Purpose User-defined views (subset of architectural data) created for a specific purpose. Collaborate with engineering and cyber teams on the implementation of cloud technologies and initiatives.
Review and develop hybrid multi-cloud solution architectures. Knowledge of software development, scripting languages, and a background in designing web services in the cloud. Detailed knowledge of SaaS/ PaaS Architecture & Integration, DevSecOps Automation & Optimization, Application & Database Designs, and Software Development Lifecycle & Tools.
Experience with migrating Core Applications and systems to the Cloud. Detailed understanding of DOD Cloud Provisional Authorization process.

Qualifications
BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline. MA/MS degree preferred.
At least six (6) years of professional experience including at least four (4) years of specialized experience on high visible or mission critical projects within DoW or industry.
Experience with Navy or Marine Corps programs preferred.
Experience designing and deploying SaaS/ PaaS cloud environments.
Experience working with Oracle Fusion a plus.
Experience using Oracle Visual Builder a plus.
Proven ability to work on high visible or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and other stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to lead a team or perform independently.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. ship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
Targeted salary range is $120,000 to $140,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.
