Position Summary...What you'll do...Join Walmart as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the delivery of scalable software solutions through collaborative engineering efforts. The team focuses on developing innovative technologies and services such as Scan & Go, Club Pickup, and home delivery in select markets.
- Beyond retail, Sam's Club supports members through travel, auto purchasing, pharmacy, optical, hearing aid, tire, and battery centers, along with business operations support services.
- The team is dedicated to enhancing the member experience by crafting personalized solutions and advancing digital engagement within Sam's ecosystem, driving seamless and efficient service delivery.
What you'll do:- Guides teams of engineers, including offshore associates, by providing documentation, direction, examples, and timelines.
- Supports business stakeholders by addressing technical questions, feasibility assessments, and implementation strategies.
- Manages complex projects from requirements gathering through design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Translates business requirements into scalable technical solutions and recommends optimal approaches.
- Troubleshoots production issues through root cause analysis and resolution planning.
- Collaborates with product, project, business, and UX teams during discovery and design phases.
- Promotes engineering best practices, continuous improvement, stakeholder alignment, and compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
What you'll bring:- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong technical acumen with experience in code review, debugging, and continuous development.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software solutions.
- Proficiency in software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform objectives.
