About the Team:Our team delivers essential screening and compliance solutions that support Walmart Marketplace's growth by enabling legitimate sellers and preventing fraudulent activities. We develop reliable, scalable software that safeguards the platform and its users. Emphasizing collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement, the team integrates advanced technologies, including AI, to enhance system capabilities. Members engage in full lifecycle development-from design through deployment-ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with business goals. What You'll Do: - Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
- Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
- Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and ensure quality and alignment with architectural standards.
- Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components using multiple programming languages.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and track success metrics using data-driven practices.
What You'll Bring: - 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including extensive backend Java development, Spring Boot, Azure Cloud, and NoSQL or SQL database.
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to build scalable and resilient systems.
- Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and platform development to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Experience leading full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
- Ability to conduct system design reviews ensuring alignment with architectural best practices and project goals.
- Skilled in mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions to promote engineering excellence and sustainability.
- Data-driven problem-solving skills with a focus on defining metrics and optimizing development processes.
- Adaptability to evolving technologies and effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications: - Retail and/or marketplace experience strongly preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
