Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: Lodge Manager
Level: Hourly
Schedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, or as per manager?s discretion and business needs
SCOPE
Responsible for ensuring all preventative maintenance and building troubleshooting throughout the premises is completed to a quality and professional standard, while leading and developing the lodge maintenance team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Foster a safe work environment that complies with building code and OSHA standards.
- Adhere to MSDS and chemical management standards for handling various cleaning chemicals.
- Manage a small team of maintenance staff members.
- Thoroughly inspect all maintenance team assignments to ensure quality and safety.
- Conduct daily and weekly meetings to keep staff up to date on any changes.
- Perform various carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC duties to maintain buildings and equipment operations.
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with licensed labor professionals to address complex issues outside of your licensing and expertise.
- Ensure safety equipment such as fire alarms and fire extinguishers is in place and in working condition.
- Monitor inventory levels and order new supplies as needed.
- Estimate, cost, and order materials to complete work assignments.
- Respond to all emergency maintenance requests at any time.
- Perform outside custodial duties as required.
- Address the diverse needs of customers in a professional and helpful manner.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stand and squat for long periods of time, up to 12 hours or more, with scheduled breaks.
- Short- and long-distance walking required.
- Use of stairs and step stools.
- Operate various general maintenance tools and machinery.
- Use force when pushing and pulling carts that weigh on average 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, high-stress environment.
- Frequently lift an average weight of 25 lbs with a maximum of 50 lbs. Where weights may exceed 50 lbs, the assistance of another person or a lifting aid is mandatory.
- Frequently reach below waist, waist to shoulder, and above shoulder, with frequent neck, back, and torso twisting from left to right without restriction.
- Perform repetitive movements at the wrist, including side to side and up or down, and multiple grasps of an average of 10 lbs with a maximum of 25 lbs.
- Occasional manual dexterity requirements, including the ability to type and use a 10-key.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to hear and understand verbal instruction as well as other sounds such as safety alarms and signals.
- Must be able to see without impairment for inspection purposes, and able to read small text such as product warning labels.
- Exposure to extreme hot and cold environments.
- Ability to work within a rotational schedule of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or as per manager?s discretion and business needs.
- Ability to work safely and navigate within small, close quarters and congested areas.
- May be exposed periodically to elevated noise and surroundings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Facilities Management degree or certification, or equivalent experience, required.
- OSHA 10-Hour certification required.
- 2?5 years of HVAC, electrical code, and carpentry experience required.
- 1?2 years of management or leadership experience required.
- At least 1 year in a customer service role required.
- Experience working in an access controlled or corrections environment required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, in English.
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with or without supervision.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home.
- Must be able to pass a background check and urinalysis.
- Must provide your own transportation to and from the facility.
