The Florida Department of Financial Services is seeking an experienced human resources and administrative operations leader to serve as our Administrative Services Manager I - SES within the Office of Information Technology. This leadership position oversees human resources administrative operations and provides guidance and direction to staff responsible for recruitment, onboarding, personnel transactions, training coordination, compliance, and workforce support. As the Administrative Services Manager I - SES, you will:
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position spends the majority of their time planning, managing, and coordinating administrative activities within the Human Resources section of the Office of Information Technology. The position provides first-level management and is responsible for directing the work of subordinate employees, including providing performance expectations and evaluations, training and mentoring staff, monitoring work for accuracy and timeliness, and taking or recommending appropriate employment actions.
The Administrative Services Manager I - SES provides operational leadership for human resources administrative functions, including recruitment, onboarding, personnel transactions, training coordination, performance documentation, and workforce support. The incumbent ensures these activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with Department policies, procedures, applicable rules, and state statutes.
This leadership position oversees human resources administrative operations and provides guidance and direction to staff responsible for recruitment, onboarding, personnel transactions, training coordination, compliance, and workforce support.
This position supports senior leadership by monitoring daily operations, implementing established processes, evaluating administrative workflows, and recommending improvements that enhance efficiency and organizational effectiveness. The incumbent analyzes operational data, identifies trends and gaps, prepares reports, and provides data-driven recommendations to management.
The manager also provides guidance and support regarding the interpretation and application of human resources policies, procedures, rules, and regulatory requirements. The incumbent assists with compliance reporting, accountability reviews, and audit readiness, ensuring administrative records and processes are appropriately maintained.
As the primary point of contact for human resources matters within the unit, this position establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, management, and external stakeholders. The incumbent facilitates communication, resolves operational issues, and ensures the timely completion of HR-related initiatives.
The successful candidate will be an organized, collaborative, and solutions-oriented leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; and a commitment to confidentiality, professional integrity, employee development, and high-quality customer service.
SPECIAL NOTES:
Eight (8) years of professional experience in Human Resources Management is required. A post-secondary degree in that field may substitute on a year-for-year basis of the required experience.

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually
