The Graduate Electrical Engineer reports to the electrical team leader.
#LI-OnsiteResponsibilities- Work with a team of engineers and designers to work from architectural plans and base files to assist in the production of quality engineering construction documents in Revit
- Under limited supervision of Engineers and Project Engineers, design electrical systems including equipment sizing, energy lighting calculations and circuit diagrams for a variety of project types including high-rise, multifamily, commercial and technology
- Perform calculations such as electrical load analysis, lighting energy use, voltage drop, fault analysis, etc.
- Provide reviews of submittals and preliminary reviews of requests for information
- Independently conduct preliminary site investigations and construction progress site visits
- Maintain working relationships with manufacturers and technical representatives for electrical equipment in support of equipment specifications and design support
- Participate in internal production meetings with Engineers and Project Managers as well as external design meetings with clients or city officials as necessary
- Participate in development of automation and visualization strategies
- Inform Project Engineers, Team Leaders, and Project Managers of progress on assigned projects
- Attend industry events and become involved in the community, creating relationships and content
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained within first year in role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the field of new building mechanical engineering construction
- Experience in Revit
- Prior experience or knowledge of coding and/or machine learning technologies
