This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Human Factors Engineer II to join us onsite in a closed area program with the LCE team. Location: Tewksbury, MA

What You Will Do
\n
As Human Factors Engineer II, your responsibilities will include:
\n
\n - Develop and implement Human Factors programs in compliance with MIL-STD-1472.
\n - Execute Human Factors tasks and analyses aligned with MIL-STD-1472 requirements.
\n - Lead Human Factors Engineering efforts across integrated product teams to identify, eliminate, or mitigate system hazards.
\n - Coordinate with customer Human Factors representatives to clarify system requirements and ensure proper allocation across software, hardware, and test teams.
\n - Conduct Human Factors planning, hazard analyses, and design evaluations.
\n - Present Human Factors considerations during technical reviews and throughout the engineering approval process.
\n - Interpret system requirements, customer specifications, and applicable military and commercial standards.
\n - Prepare internal and customer-facing reports documenting Human Factors analyses and program activities.
\n - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product architecture and design impacts.
\n - Interface with Systems Engineering, Software/Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Hardware Engineering to ensure consistent Human Factors integration.

Qualifications You Must Have
\n
\n - Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
\n - Experience with Human Factors Engineering, Human Systems Integration, or Safety Engineering
\n - Experience with hardware and/or software
\n
\n
\n
Qualifications We Prefer
\n
\n - Active/Existing DoD clearance
\n - Experience defense, aerospace, or safety-critical systems
\n - Experience with requirements development or systems engineering processes
\n - Experience with usability evaluation, task analysis, or human performance concepts (internship level acceptable)
\n - Experience with user interface design concepts, wireframing, or prototyping tools
\n - Experience with MIL-STD-1472 human factors concepts (introductory exposure acceptable)
\n - Experience with MIL-STD-882 system safety concepts (introductory exposure acceptable)

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate s work experience, location,
education/training, and key skills.\n
