Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting development of complex inertial guidance systems for space and military applications.

Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and you'll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlessly.

What you will do:
\n
In this Systems Engineer role, you will perform and/or support the following activities:
\n
\n - \n
Core Systems Engineering: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces
\n - \n
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Develop and maintain detailed SysML descriptive system models, linking and synchronization of requirements, and generate design documentation / views
\n - \n
Interface with cross functional teams, such as Electrical and Software engineering, to help guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle
\n - \n
Conduct and/or support technical peer reviews and provide constructive feedback; Document and provide technical guidance to other members of the design team
\n - \n
Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers and non-technical team members
\n
\n
Qualifications You Must Have:
\n
\n - \n
Typically requires a Bachelor s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
\n - \n
Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware; experience with systems integration and/or systems test is a plus
\n - \n
Experience with DOORs, MBSE, UML/SysML, and/or Cameo / MagicDraw
\n
\n
This role is based out of our Tewksbury MA location

\n
Qualifications We Prefer:
\n
\n - \n
Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills
\n - \n
Experience in requirements development, design, verification, and validation.
\n - \n
Experience syncing and tracing requirements between DOORs and SysML modeling tools such as Cameo / MagicDraw.
\n - \n
Experience managing trade studies and design decisions.
\n - \n
Experience in all phases of development: concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test.
\n - \n
Experience supporting design reviews during all phases of development.
\n - \n
Experience with Gears Feature Based variation management tools
\n - \n
Experience with DXL scripting
\n - \n
Experience with Python, Java or Matlab
\n - \n
Radar architecture and/or algorithms knowledge
\n - \n
Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
\n - \n
3 years of experience with Systems/Software Engineering Product Development Cycle

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate s work experience, location,
education/training, and key skills.\n
