Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in tanker truck equipment, is seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be an essential part of the manufacturing operations supporting the production of high-quality equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and a desire to contribute to a successful team environment.
Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Traverse City, MI
Pay Range: $20-22/hr based on experience
Shift:7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday, overtime sometimes available and encouraged.
What\'s the Job?
\t- Read and interpret technical documents and drawings of parts needing to be machined. \t
- Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes from Okuma, Haas, and Mazak. \t
- Verify measurements of finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications. \t
- Machine, drill, shape, grind, and polish parts to meet quality standards. \t
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment while working independently or as part of a team.
What\'s Needed?
\t- 2 to 3 years of experience in CNC machining or a related field. \t
- Ability to read and understand G, M, and conversational codes. \t
- Proficiency in setting up programs and operating CNC equipment from various manufacturers. \t
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed \t
- Reliable transportation and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
