Core/Senior Network Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Network Engineer to join our infrastructure team and support a large enterprise office environment. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network technologies across a multi-vendor ecosystem while driving network automation initiatives and supporting broader cybersecurity efforts.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise networking, strong automation capabilities, and a collaborative mindset. In addition to maintaining a reliable and secure network infrastructure, this individual will work closely with desktop support, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure exceptional technology services for a large user population.
This position requires an onsite presence four days per week and involves direct support of office-based technology operations.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across a multi-vendor environment.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies.
Support a diverse technology stack including solutions from HPE, Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and other industry-leading vendors.
Manage and support firewalls, secure web gateways, proxy services, and network security technologies.
Develop and maintain network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and related automation frameworks.
Automate network provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational workflows.
Support enterprise wireless and Wi-Fi infrastructure, including deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues.
Partner with cybersecurity teams on infrastructure hardening, security initiatives, and network-related projects.
Collaborate with desktop support and workplace technology teams to resolve end-user technology issues and improve service delivery.
Evaluate and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and related technologies, to enhance operational efficiency and automation.
Participate in infrastructure projects involving networking, security, cloud connectivity, and office technology modernization.
Create and maintain network documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Required Experience
5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and architectures.
Experience supporting enterprise firewall and network security technologies.
Hands-on experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
Experience working within multi-vendor networking environments.
Strong understanding of wireless and Wi-Fi technologies.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and connectivity issues.
Experience supporting corporate office environments and end-user technology services.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience with HPE, Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Zscaler technologies.
Experience supporting large enterprise office environments.
Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure architectures.
Familiarity with AI-assisted operational tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
Experience participating in cybersecurity and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
