Salary: $150,000 - $225,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements from start to finish.

Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, estates, and other closely held entities
- Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and improve overall tax strategies
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, developing strong relationships and providing proactive tax guidance throughout the year
- Research and resolve complex tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly to clients and internal team members
- Oversee tax return preparation and review work performed by Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, and other tax professionals
- Assist with tax projections, estimated payments, extensions, and year end planning
- Manage multiple engagements and ensure projects are completed accurately and within established deadlines
- Collaborate with partners and other members of the firm on complex client matters and business planning opportunities
- Assist with IRS, state, and local tax notices, audits, and other tax authority inquiries as needed
- Mentor and develop junior and mid level staff, providing technical guidance and feedback
- Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to clients and staff
- Participate in business development and networking activities and identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license preferred
- 7+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing a variety of individual and business tax returns
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and client communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a deadline driven environment
- Previous experience mentoring or supervising tax staff
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle complex tax matters
