Title: Software Engineer (Java)

W2 Only

Position Type: Right to Hire

Location: Westerville, OH

Onsite

Team & Environment:

High-volume, mission-critical debit card transaction systems
Distributed architecture, microservices-based
Multiple global teams, but this role is for a co-located scrum team in Ohio
Fast-paced, urgency-driven environment

Key Hiring Manager Expectations:

Strong Core Java + Spring Boot expertise (must be advanced level)
Hands-on experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
Ability to handle high-pressure production systems
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and ownership mindset
Must act with urgency and adapt quickly

Must Have Skills:

Java (Spring Boot)
Apache Kafka
Kubernetes
CI/CD
SQL
Splunk
Grafana

Nice to Have:

AWS (future migration potential)
Additional Tech Stack Exposure:
Microservices, Containers
Oracle DB
Observability tools (Splunk, Grafana)

Recruiter Strategy Notes:

Look for candidates with transaction-heavy or fintech/banking experience
