Step into a leadership role where your expertise in land development fuels the transformation of the Mid-Atlantic power market. You'll manage high-impact projects that support energy transformation and civil infrastructure and serve as a primary liaison for client engagement. What You'll Do:Project and Team Leadership:
- Provide direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring effective communication, resource allocation, supervision, and adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Identify and nurture high-potential talent within the team; mentor and develop the next generation of Engineering leadership at Verdantas
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project delivery
- Commitment to people and professional development of our teams
Technical Leadership:
- Serve as Lead Senior Engineer and primary point of contact managing strategy, technical and design work, regulatory engagement, and business development
- Engage as Senior in Charge on land or site plan development, design, and permitting, stormwater management design and permitting, erosion & sediment control design (as appropriate based on licensure), primarily for Verdantas' Area-level clients in our Real Estate, Government, Energy, and Industrial Markets
- Direct meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices
- Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements and implement best practices
- Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related needs and committing to client satisfaction
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions
- Present project updates and technical information to clients in a clear and concise manner
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including federal and state agencies, communities, and environmental organizations, to facilitate project approvals and implementation
- Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project objectives are met
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality and technical content of all work products, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
Power Market Growth:
- Lead initiatives aimed at expanding our presence in the Power market
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and drive business growth
- Plan, execute, and oversee pursuits and projects aimed at market expansion in the power sector
What You Bring:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution; higher education preferred
- 20 or more years of experience in civil engineering and land development
- P.E. required (Delaware, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey preferred)
- Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2), preferred
- Offshore wind energy on-land transmission project experience, including experience with USEPA, Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and state agencies (including DNREC)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
Salary Range:The compensation range starts at $125,000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensure.
