COMPENSATION: $71 - $81 HOURLY
Role Overview
We are seeking a mechanical engineer drafter who combines technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get things done effectively. This person will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analyses, specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for avionics systems.
- Perform related analysis for flight-critical components.
- Design mechanical assemblies for electronics.
- Work with both rapid prototype and production tooling.
- Manage engineering projects.
Required Qualifications
Education: BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.
Experience: Experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics, along with experience in rapid prototype and production tooling.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting. Strong communication and writing skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dassault 3DExperience Enovia for PLM.
- Dassault 3DExperience Catia for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Thermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM.
- Mechanical stack-up analysis.
- Structural Load Analysis.
- Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA or Confluence.
