Quality Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client that is seeking a Quality Manager in Wilmington, MA.

Summary:
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and scaling manufacturing test systems for complex electromechanical products - including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, in-line functional test, and parametric data collection. You should have a track record of standing up test operations from scratch, driving multi-generational test strategy across product iterations, and influencing product architecture decisions to improve testability. This role demands strategic thinking, deep technical credibility, and the ability to align cross-functional teams - engineering, validation, software, manufacturing, and quality - around a unified test philosophy that scales.

Key Job Responsibilities:
* Define and own the end-to-end manufacturing test strategy - what gets tested, where (in-line vs. EoL vs. sampling), and how - across build iterations from prototype through volume production; Set the multi-generational test roadmap and investment plan
* Serve as the test voice in design trades - influence product architecture, interface design, and tolerance strategy to improve testability; Drive design-for-test (DFT) considerations upstream as a co-designer, not just a reviewer
* Create clarity from ambiguity: establish test frameworks, standards, and decision criteria that guide the broader engineering team

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
* 10+ years of manufacturing test engineering experience for electromechanical or robotic products, including experience spanning both NPI/prototype and high-volume production environments
* Experience owning manufacturing test strategy for a new product introduction (NPI) from concept through volume production
* Hands-on experience developing and deploying in-line and end-of-line functional test systems, including test sequence creation, pass/fail criteria definition, and parametric/SPC data collection
* Demonstrated experience architecting test data pipelines for dashboarding and analytics - structured data formats, schemas, and traceability frameworks designed for consumption, not just storage
* Proficiency in test software/frameworks (e.g., LabVIEW, NI TestStand, Python-based test automation or custom solutions) and DAQ/instrumentation specification
* Demonstrated ability to create clarity from ambiguity - defining test strategy, frameworks, and decision criteria for cross-functional teams
* Ability to influence at a senior level across engineering, validation, quality, and manufacturing leadership

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
