Based in Wilton, Connecticut, this Mechanical Engineer role offers the opportunity to work on challenging engineering problems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to innovative solutions that impact customers around the world.
Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, testing, and improving mechanical components within larger systems. You will work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and safety requirements.
- Design and develop mechanical components based on defined requirements and specifications.
- Evaluate design concepts, conduct feasibility assessments, and recommend practical solutions.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, and design records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and integration activities.
- Conduct design reviews, testing activities, and performance evaluations to verify requirements.
- Support project planning by providing technical input, effort estimates, and risk assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance product performance, quality, and efficiency.
Education and ExperienceTo be successful in this Mechanical Engineer role, you should have:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering analysis.
- Understanding of mechanical system design, component development, and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with computer-aided design software and engineering documentation practices.
- Familiarity with product testing, validation methods, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability, and engineering best practices.
- Experience working with engineering modeling, simulation, and analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
