Duties, Responsibilities & OtherKCI is seeking a motivated student for an Entertainment Engineering Internship to join our team for Summer 2027. This position offers hands-on experience supporting the design and development of entertainment-related projects, including unique structures and multidisciplinary engineering solutions, under the guidance of experienced engineers. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with the design and development of structural systems for entertainment and specialty projects
- Support testing of materials, preparation of specifications, and process studies
- Contribute to research investigations and the preparation of reports and technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on multidisciplinary design and engineering projects
- Assist with construction drawings for concrete, steel, and wood structures
- Participate in field activities, site observations, and construction administration tasks as needed
- Review input from project managers and make adjustments to design work as directed
- Gain exposure to all phases of design and project delivery within the entertainment engineering practice
QualificationsEducation and/or Skills Required:
- This is an entry level position where no previous experience is required.
- Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program
