Job DetailsOur client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing team. This individual will be responsible for delivering a full range of accounting and tax services to multiple clients across a variety of industries.
This is a client-facing, growth-oriented position for someone who combines strong technical tax skills with business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset. The Tax Manager will have significant involvement in client relationships, tax planning, engagement leadership, staff development, and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns, including individual, partnership, corporate, and trust returns.
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting advice to help clients minimize liabilities and identify opportunities.
- Lead client engagements and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices and resolve technical tax issues.
- Develop and mentor associates and interns.
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients.
- Participate in business development and contribute to firm growth.
- Stay current on changes in tax law and apply new knowledge to client engagements.
- Collaborate closely with firm leadership on client and business matters.
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA license.
- 5-8+ years of public accounting experience.
- Strong experience with corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for developing people and solving problems.
- Desire to grow into a Partner-level role.
