Position: Security Architect Consultant

Job Description: Seeking a contract Security Architect with hands-on experience in security engineering, automation, and tool development. You will design, implement, and operate enterprise security automations, custom tools, and integrations across IAM, SIEM/XDR, vulnerability management, and cloud security programs. Expect to work with a large security team, develop automation workflows, support incident response, and enable secure platform operations in a fast-changing environment. Must be comfortable in a 24x7 SOC on-call rotation and capable of aligning solutions with risk, compliance, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities (highlights):
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain automated security workflows and custom tools using Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, JSON, YAML, and vendor SDKs.
- Support IAM functions (provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, RBAC, service accounts) and identity-based integrations.
- Deploy and manage Linux-based security sensors and data collectors; monitor, patch, and troubleshoot security platforms and integrations.
- Integrate and troubleshoot a broad range of security technologies (DSPM, IAM, SIEM, XDR, SOAR, vulnerability management, email security, endpoint security) via APIs, SDKs, and data formats.
- Provide platform troubleshooting, incident support, knowledge transfer, and operational handoffs; monitor automation health and platform performance.
Required/Preferred Skills (top priorities):
- Hands-on security engineering across multiple technologies, platforms, and integrations.
- Strong experience with API-driven integrations, SDKs, and automation.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration, scripting, and lifecycle management.
- Automation and response workflow development using Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST, JSON, YAML.
- Experience with IAM, SIEM/XDR, DSPM, vulnerability management, and cloud/security tooling.
