Summary:
The Senior Cloud Data Engineer is a strategic, leadership-oriented role within the Enterprise Data Services team. Drives the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions under strict healthcare compliance, and spearheads organizational change initiatives. Optimizes cloud workflows, enforces role-based security, manages cloud cost efficiency, and mentors team members on modern cloud practices and DevOps tools (specifically Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines). The successful candidate will be a visionary leader who bridges technical excellence with business process optimization to drive measurable improvements in operational efficiency and cost savings.
Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
b. ITIL 4 training (or equivalent work experience).
Experience & Training Required:
a. Five (5) years in an IT role with hands-on cloud experience (public, private, and hybrid) to include:
i. Five (5) years' experience with developing holistic cloud strategies and managing change initiatives.
ii. Demonstrated leadership experience in implementing change management, workflow optimization, and cost management initiatives while collaborating and communicating across multiple disciplines such as IT&S, Business, Finance, and Leadership.
iii. Experience in workflow automation and performance tuning, including job scheduling and resource allocation.
iv. Experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
v. Experience in forecasting, monitoring, and reporting cloud cost metrics, and implementing cost-saving measures.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Demonstrated proven ability to lead projects and teams with agile methodologies and proper project management as outlined by ITIL 4 training.
b. Advanced proficiency in cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.).
c. In-depth knowledge of role-based access control (RBAC) and compliance frameworks (HIPAA and other relevant standards).
d. Strong expertise in DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines) with an emphasis on mentoring and training.
e. Ability to analyze and optimize cloud operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
f. Exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
g. Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
Level of Physical Demands:
a. Minimal, may occasionally move computer equipment (desktop, laptop, monitor, printer, and peripherals) when necessary.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
