Strong experience with Core Java/J2EE, Selenium WebDriver, JUnit/TestNG, and test automation framework development.
Ability to design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and write automation scripts for complex business applications.

Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs and web services using Postman, REST Assured, and SOAP UI.
Strong understanding of JSON/XML, API integrations, and end-to-end service validation.
3. CI/CD & Automation Pipeline Integration
Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
Ability to support continuous testing, improve software quality, and enable faster release cycles in Agile environments.
Required Experience- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both Development and QA teams, contributing to application code, improving testability, and implementing automation strategies that support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Minimum 5 years of experience (maximum of 8 years) in software development or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) roles within Java-based enterprise applications.
- Strong experience with Core Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, ORM technologies (Hibernate/JPA), Java build tools (Maven/Gradle), and JUnit/TestNG.
- Experience designing and developing test automation frameworks and scripts in Selenium (Java).
- Proven experience in analyzing and writing automation scripts for complex business rules and rules engine.
- Experience developing and testing RESTful Web Services and working with JSON/XML.
- Understanding of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Knowledge of database (DB2) concepts, EDI (834, 837), SOAP UI, Rational Quality Manager, Agile methodologies, AccelQ and UI Path.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and database validation techniques.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting large-scale, enterprise applications with high availability and complex integrations.
- Ability to write simple and complex SQL Queries, preferably with DB2 SQL syntax including PL/SQL
Preferred Qualifications- Healthcare, Medicaid, or Health Exchange experience preferred.
- Experience with Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
- Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Experience in Mobile Testing
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
- Familiarity with performance and security testing.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Albany, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $57.00 - $62.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
