Position Summary
Seeking an Electronic Technician I to support repair operations within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing and service environment. This role is responsible for diagnosing, testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing digital video recording systems, electronic assemblies, and related peripherals.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of electronics and possess the ability to troubleshoot equipment to the assembly and sub-assembly level. This position is well suited for recent technical school graduates, entry-level technicians, or candidates with up to 3 years of electronics troubleshooting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, test, and troubleshoot electronic products and systems.
- Perform fault isolation and identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Analyze electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies using established diagnostic procedures.
- Utilize schematics, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Operate industry-standard diagnostic and test equipment.
- Perform functional testing and verification of repaired products.
- Document findings and communicate technical issues to engineering and operations teams.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and quality standards.
- Meet production and quality targets while maintaining attention to detail.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational goals.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate Degree, Technical Degree, Trade School Certification, Military Electronics Training, or equivalent hands-on electronics experience preferred.
- Recent technical school graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience
- 0-3 years of electronics troubleshooting, repair, manufacturing, testing, or diagnostic experience.
- Experience as an Electronics Technician, Repair Technician, Test Technician, Bench Technician, Service Technician, or similar role preferred.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Understanding of electronic components including:
- Printed Circuit Boards (PCBAs)
- Microcontrollers
- Memory devices
- Programmable logic devices (FPGAs)
- Low-voltage electronic circuits
- Experience using:
- Digital Volt Meters (DVMs)
- Oscilloscopes
- Electronic test equipment
- Basic computer proficiency required.
Computer Skills
Candidates must be comfortable using:
- Computers and web-based applications
- Google Workspace
- Google Sheets
- Microsoft Excel
- Basic networking concepts such as IP addresses and MAC addresses
Oracle experience is a plus but not required.

- Have experience working in electronics manufacturing, repair, testing, or depot environments.

- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Are interested in long-term career opportunities and potential conversion to full-time employment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 5-10 pounds.
- Ability to work in a production environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Training
- Approximately 2 weeks of training before working independently.
